We live in a town of 6,500
We live in a town of 6,500 people – who would have thought something like this would happen?
Give the teachers, the super, and whoever else a break! They weren’t prepared, this wasn’t expected, they did the best they could! NOW, they know this is something they need to work on.
Let’s focus on the fact that the staff did the best they could and that NO ONE was hurt! My son’s 1st grade teacher talked to the kids about it at school today and they drew pictures of how they felt – I am SO thankful for that exercise. By showing me his picture, we were able to have a better discussion of his feelings and fears. The staff did the best that they could do under the circumstances!
Again, they can’t tell anyone the WHOLE story until AFTER the investigation. It amazes me how people are so quick to point fingers and jump on a bandwagon. Why not support our administration and teachers? Why not start a parents’ group to help push administration to adapt better procedures and help with that process???
Seriously folks, lets turn this horrible situation into something positive for our school, our kids and our community! Stop the accusations until we have the full story and do something positive and proactive!
